What is a Parent Steering Committee?

A steering committee helps to build a capacity in our parent communities, where they can be involved in the school in various areas.  The steering committee is independent of the DOE, where it can be of to help the schools in what ever area that needs to be assisted.  This committee also strives to promote excellence in the schools through the various committees:

To promote more parents to participate and engage in other activities

To help assist PTA in various events, activities that may promote the spirit of Unity and Excellence that will represent our school

      To promote & foster fellowship with our parents

Who can be part of this Committee?

· Parents /Legal Guardians of children at P.S.161/Crown

· Grandparents of Children at P.S.161

 

How does one join?

Sign up by filling out a membership form. This will include name, email, phone # name of Child, year you join, and birth date without the year. This form will also list the committee/s you are part of .
